Corporate Litigation
We have often been retained to provide expert economic analysis for complex corporate litigation. We have worked with a number of economic experts, other consulting firms, government agencies and law firms in this capacity. Our work on these projects includes reviewing the economic issues of the case, conducting the necessary economic or financial analyses, preparing expert reports and declarations, preparing expert testimony for deposition or trial, critiquing the reports and testimony of opposing experts, and providing the background support required by the attorneys and experts throughout the litigation process. We have worked on cases in the areas of securities fraud, anticompetitive practices, breach of contract, intellectual property, and mergers and acquisitions.
Public Policy, Budgetary and Fiscal Analysis
Databasix currently has a working relationship with The Blue Sky Consulting Group of Emeryville, a consulting firm that specializes in helping public and private sector clients address challenging strategic and analytical issues confronting their organizations.
Economic Research
Databasix has also been retained to perform basic economic research, both for internal use by the client and for potential publication. This type of research includes researching the topic in the academic and general literature, gathering the necessary data, performing various statistical or econometric analyses, and presenting the results in either a presentation or a written report.
